There
are many approaches we can take to address eyes & eyebrows. Below
are a listing of some of the cosmetic surgery options for eyes, as well as non-surgical enhancements. Please call
for a consultation to address your specific needs.
Upper
Eyelid cosmetic Surgery (blepharoplasty)
Upper eyelid cosmetic laser surgery removes the excessive,
drooping skin, muscle folds, and fatty bags found on the inside corner
of the eye next to the nose. High energy,
precisely focused laser light vaporizes tissue as it cuts, sealing
small blood vessels and
nerves next to the surgical wound.
The wound is closed with extremely fine plastic sutures which are
removed in about
seven days. Upper eyelid cosmetic surgery may be covered by insurance for those
patients with evidence of specific visual symptoms and measurements.
Lower Lid Blepharoplasty
Puffiness of the lower eyelid is most often caused by excessive fatty
deposits inside the lid. A tiny incision is made with the laser
on the inside of the lower lid and the fatty tissue is eased out.
No sutures are needed for incision closure.
Endoscopic Eyebrow Lift (Brow Lifts)
Brow lifts can be performed by various techniques. Endoscopic or
minimal-scar brow lift is an advanced technique performed by using a tiny
fiberoptic lens-camera system inserted though small incisions placed in
the hairline. In most patients, this endoscopic approach allows
for the brow to be lifted but with less swelling, scarring,
hair loss, and down time as compared with the larger scalpel incisions
of a traditional brow lift. Dr. Sterling Baker, Dr. Erin Holloman and Dr. William Ehrlich also perform
weakening of the brow depressor muscles during surgery to reduce the
power of the frown muscles between the eyes for a better outcome. Brow
Lifts may be covered by insurance for those patients
with evidence of specific visual symptoms and measurements. Our surgeons will evaluate each patient accordingly.
Nonsurgical Eye Enhancement
For many patients, more open eyes or fewer laugh lines
around the eyes is all that may be needed and desired. There are
many in-office procedures that can be accomplished with no down time
that can produce a world of difference for the patient. These may
include Botox®, Restylane®, Radiesse, Juvaderm or Perlane, each administered specifically by either Dr. Sterling Baker, Dr. Erin Holloman or Dr. William Ehrlich, not a staff member, to ensure the utmost care and expertise.
