The Face
With age,
the face descends. The effects of gravity,
repeated muscle contraction, and lifestyle cause the skin, muscle,
and fat to move downwards. When this occurs, the cheeks
begin to look saggy, the naso-labial fold deepens, and "jowls" appear
along the jaw line. A mid face lift or suspension can restore
the natural curves and contours of youth. Speak with one of our surgeons
to find out what approach is right for you.
Modified Mid Face Lift
Small, well hidden incisions are made around the ear and the deeper
tissues of the midface are tightened to restore cheek volume, redefine
the jaw line, and improve laxity of the face. It can be
performed alone, or in combination with other procedures.
Endoscopic Mid Face Lift
Small incisions are placed in the hair bearing scalp above the ear.
A tiny fiberoptic lens - camera system is inserted though the incisions
along with long, thin instruments. These instruments are used
to elevate the soft tissue from the cheek bone, lift it towards the eyes
and fixate it into place until it heals naturally to the bone again. Thus,
the midface is repositioned for a more natural and revitalized appearance. It
can also be performed alone or with other surgeries. However, for
many younger patients, it is often a stand-alone procedure.
Nonsurgical Facial Enhancement
There are many options for those patients who want a softened and
refreshed appearance without undergoing surgery. Appropriate,
careful and artistic use of Botox®, Restylane® Radiesse, Juvaderm or Perlane, and other fillers can soften
wrinkles, folds, and fill in areas of tissue loss. Dr. Sterling Baker, Dr. Erin Holloman
or Dr. William Ehrlich will be happy to discuss which solution is right for you.
Neck Lifts
The aging
neck can be a challenging area for any patient to ignore. The good
news is that Dr. Sterling Baker, Dr. Erin Holloman and Dr. William Ehrlich perform both surgical and non surgical procedures for neck lifts.
Surgical Neck Lifts
Small, hidden incisions are the key here. Surgical options to correct
the aging problems of the neck are varied. One may need liposuction
of fat in the neck or jowls, muscle plication or suspension, skin
resection,
or a combination of any of these.
Nonsurgical Neck Lifts
The best nonsurgical option for most patients is some type of filler. Treatments can redefine the jaw-line and
tighten and
lift the neck. The results are not as dramatic as a surgical neck
lift, but for many patients without the time for recovery or desire
to undergo
surgery, this can be the perfect solution.
